Clear’s Online Privacy Policy
This Online Privacy Policy covers the operations of the Clear (www.FlyClear.com) website that you are visiting. It is not the same as the privacy policies covering the enrollment and administration of the Clear Registered Traveler program.
1. Role of the Clear Website
The purpose of this website is to describe the Clear service - why it meets important needs in the U.S., how it works, who is providing the service, and how to get further information or apply to Clear.
2. Complete Anonymity for Casual Visitors
Our website does not use cookies, spyware, web bugs, or any other technology
that captures the email address of visitors to the site. Casual visitors - just seeking information about Clear - are given complete anonymity. When our Internet service provider keeps track of visitors, it only counts "hits" for statistical purposes, and does not record email addresses in that process.
3. When Visitors Ask for Further Information
If a visitor contacts us to obtain further information, such as to get a Clear
brochure, we naturally obtain the email or other address the visitor gives us. We put
such information into an Online Contacts File. When we supply the information
sought, we ask the visitor if he or she would like to receive further information from time to time about the Clear service. If the visitor agrees, we send such communications of new developments by email. If the visitor indicates he or she does not wish to receive such additional communications, we do not send them.
When visitors take advantage of the direct downloads that our website offers - for example, to download ads or stories about Clear in the media - we do not create any record of such visitor downloads.
4. When Visitors Contact Clear
Our website gives the telephone and fax numbers that visitors can contact directly.
If such contacts lead to a visitor request to receive information about Clear,
or to initiate an enrollment, we create the records needed to supply such information
or take that action. We ask you to read the Terms and Conditions of Clear if you choose to start an application to that program.
5. We Never Sell or Give Visitor Information for Outside Marketing
All personally identifiable information we obtain from visitors is used exclusively by our staff, to fulfill the requests made by visitors, or for visitor-accepted continuing communications by our staff. We never sell or give visitor personal information to any third party for marketing uses.
6. Future Development of the Website and Privacy Policy Changes
As Clear grows, we expect to add features to this web site. When we do that, we will continue to follow the Online Privacy Policies described here. Should changes in our Online Privacy Policy be needed to cover such new features, we will indicate such changes in the Online Policy.
