Radius Announces Marketing Deal with Clear. Travel Management Network to Offer Clients Discounts on "Clear" Registered Traveler Program.
Washington, DC -- RADIUS - the global travel company announced today that it has entered into an agreement with a Registered Traveler provider called Clear. As part of the agreement, RADIUS customers will receive a corporate discount on Clear's membership fees. With 90 shareholder travel management companies operating 4,900 branch locations in 80 countries to produce $19.7 billion USD in sales turnover, RADIUS is one of the largest travel management networks in the world.
Clear gives passengers faster access through airport security checkpoints by scanning members' biometric information in specially-designated Clear lanes. In the future, Clear members may receive added benefits, for example, not having to remove their shoes or coats during security screenings.
"RADIUS is committed to providing innovative products to our travel companies and their clients so we are pleased to partner with Clear to help make the RADIUS travel experience more pleasant and efficient. As travel becomes more complex, the Clear Registered Traveler Program becomes very important in ensuring our customers' ability to more easily navigate airport security lines, thereby saving time and hassle," said Patricia Locke, RADIUS senior vice president for sales and supplier relations.
RADIUS clients who wish to join Clear will be able to begin the enrollment process on the RADIUS Website or through their corporate travel portal. The next step will be to provide identification and biometric data such as fingerprints and iris images at Clear kiosks that will be located in many large cities in the coming months. Once Transportation Security Administration approves the application, members will receive a Clear card in the mail.
"By offering Clear, RADIUS is reinforcing its commitment to improving the overall travel experience" said Fred Fischer, senior vice president of sales for the Clear program. "We look forward to providing our services to their customers."
