Clear® Network Spreads in West – Salt Lake City International Airport to Launch Fast Lanes Before Summer

NEW YORK, April 14, 2008 – Clear®, the fast pass for airport security, announced that it has been chosen to operate Clear lanes at Salt Lake City International Airport. The announcement comes on the heels of major Clear launches in Washington, DC and the San Francisco Bay Area.  All airlines operating from Salt Lake City, and their passengers, will be able to use Clear’s fast pass lanes before this summer. Clear has now signed up over 140,000 people nationwide.

“We are pleased to offer customers another option for efficiently navigating the security checkpoints,” comments Maureen Riley, Executive Director of the Salt Lake City Department of Airports, “It will streamline the process for all users.”
“Salt Lake City is an important market for business and leisure travelers and a significant part of Clear’s expansion plan,” said Steven Brill, Clear’s CEO. “We’re eager to spread rapidly in the West and we applaud the Airport’s leadership in bringing the program to their travelers.”

Clear members are pre-screened by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and, after application approval, are provided with a card that allows exclusive access to Clear’s security lanes nationwide. The innovative, high-tech Clear Card verifies a fingerprint or iris image selected by members during enrollment.

Salt Lake City Clear members share their enthusiasm for the program’s arrival at their home airport:

“I have used the Clear registered traveler kiosks at airports around the country, and as a frequent business flyer, it is a huge benefit to allow me quick passage through security every time I fly – all with pleasant, courteous service – and soon at my home airport.”
Eric Olafson, CEO, Tomax Corporation

“I travel to Orlando regularly for business, so I registered for Clear when they first started operating out of Orlando International Airport. Using the Clear lanes has saved me as much as 45 minutes wait time when traveling from Orlando International Airport. If you frequently fly to or from Salt Lake City and you value your time, I would strongly recommend using Clear.”
Bicknell C. Robbins, CEO, National Benefit Alliance, LLC

"Clear is real time saver for me at the airports I frequent across the U.S. With the addition of Clear to Salt Lake City, I may never need to wait in another security line again!  Clear has cut hours off my airport wait times and definitely helps ease the stress of air travel.”
Warren Junium, Managing Director of Marketing andCommunications, Children's Miracle Network

Clear currently operates 28 enrollment stations across the country and also brings mobile enrollment onsite to businesses nationwide.  Late last month, Clear launched lanes in Washington DC’s Reagan and Dulles Airports, and at the Oakland International Airport.  The Atlanta Airport expects to launch a fast pass program there soon.  New Clear openings can be found at flyclear.com/enrollment
