How do I renew my membership?
Your membership will be automatically renewed at the end of your membership term. Unless you have turned off this feature, you do not need to do anything to renew. Several weeks before your renewal date, you will receive an email and postal notification confirming your renewal.
Please make sure your payment information is up to date by signing into My Account, and clicking on the "Payment Management" link.
You can check or change your renewal preferences by signing into My Account, then clicking on 'My Profile.' Clear will never charge your credit card without notifying you first. You can also call Clear support for assistance at (866) 848-2415.

I turned off the auto renewal feature on my account. How do I renew?
If you have turned off the auto renew feature, Clear will contact you by email or post asking you to renew and update your payment information. You can renew your Clear membership anytime by signing into our Renew Now page. To check if you have the auto renewal feature enabled, to verify that your payment information is up to date, or to renew, sign into My Account or call Clear support at (866) 848-2415.

What happens when my membership expires?
Your Clear card will continue to function for a short grace period. During this time you can still use your Clear card in all Clear lanes. You will not need to resubmit your biometric images. After the grace period, your card will be deactivated and you will not be able to use the Clear lanes. If you ever choose to re-enroll, you will need to complete both online and in-person enrollment, and be vetted by the Transportation Security Administration again.

Do I need to re-enroll with my fingerprints and iris image for renewal?
As long as you renew on time, you do not need to resubmit your biometrics. Your original biometric information will be valid and your Clear card will continue to work. However, if you allow your account to expire, we will no longer have your information on file and you will need to wait 90 days to re-apply for Clear.

Will I receive a new Clear card when I renew?
No. If you renew before your account has expired, your existing Clear card will function normally.
