Your Profile
The first step of online enrollment is to enter basic biographic information. The information entered in this section is solely for the purpose of maintaining a Clear account.
Since we will be communicating with you primarily through email, we urge you to provide a unique and valid email address. Please note that email addresses may not be shared among members, even if members are within the same household or business.
You must be a US citizen or permanent foreign resident to apply for membership in Clear. Please enter your full and complete legal name exactly as it appears on the two pieces of government-issued identification you intend to bring to the Clear enrollment center. A US Passport is strongly recommended.
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requires that your full legal name appear on your Clear online application. The legal name on your online application must match the name that appears on both government-issued IDs you bring with you to the Clear enrollment center. If your full legal name does not appear on both of your IDs (e.g., the ID has a maiden name), you must obtain updated government-issued IDs before visiting the Clear enrollment center.
Parents or guardians must supply the requested information on behalf of applicants under the age of 18 and must consent in writing to allow the child to join Clear. With adherence to TSA policies, children under the age of 12 may not enroll in a registered traveler program, but may access the Clear lanes when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian that is a registered traveler participant in good standing.
Your information security is our top priority. We have a complete array of security features to protect your privacy and data-security rights.
As an added security precaution, we ask that you create your own security questions and answers so that you will be able to access your Clear account if you forget your password.
We ask that you create a unique username that will allow for the most efficient access to your Clear account.
Feedback
In order to provide you with better customer service and alert you to new Clear benefits, we would like to have permission to contact you. As stated in our privacy policies we will never distribute your personal information. Your privacy is important to us. For more information regarding our information security policies please refer to our privacy policy.
What is the TSA vetting fee?
This is a separate $28 fee that the federal Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will charge for vetting registered traveler applicants. Neither the TSA vetting fee nor Clear's membership fee will be charged to your account until you have been accepted into the program and your Clear card is issued. Should you cancel your Clear membership after you enroll, your Clear card will be deactivated and you will receive a pro-rated refund of your Clear membership fee; the TSA vetting fee is not refunded.
If for any reason TSA revokes your Clear membership, your card will be deactivated and you will receive a pro-rated refund of your Clear membership fee; the TSA fee is not refunded.
The Transportation Security Administration requests your full legal name to conduct a Security Threat Assessment. The name should match the name that appears on the two pieces of government-issued identification you intend to bring to the Clear enrollment center to complete enrollment. If your full name does not appear on both of your IDs (eg., the ID has a maiden name), you must obtain updated government-issued IDs before visiting the Clear enrollment center.
Please enter the most complete information in the fields provided in order to hasten the application process. For instance, enter John instead of J. for a middle name.
If your name has legally changed, either by marriage, divorce, or court order please provide your former full and complete legal names. Former legal names include, but are not limited to: maiden names and surnames from previous marriages, foreign names (non-anglicized Chinese name, for example) and nicknames (“Bob Smith” for “Robert Smith”).
You must provide information for the fields marked with an asterisk. The information requested is used to distinguish you from those on Federal watch lists when other enrollment data is insufficient to determine your security status. Providing this information may speed up adjudication, if adjudication is necessary.
If you do not provide all of the requested biographic information, it may delay or prevent an “approved” determination of the Security Threat Assessment necessary for membership in Clear.
Current Employer Information
Please give us the name and address of your current employer. If your employer does not have a U.S. address you may ignore the "State" and Zip Code portions of the form.
All information provided to TSA to conduct and adjudicate a name-based Security Threat Assessment is voluntary. However, if you do not provide all of the requested biographic information, it may delay or prevent an “approved” determination of the Security Threat Assessment necessary to join the Registered Traveler program.
Please provide the most up-to-date contact information. If you have not lived at the address you entered in the first field, you must enter your five year address history.
Since we will be communicating with you primarily through email, we urge you to provide a unique and valid email address. Please note that email addresses may not be shared among members, even if members are within the same household or business.
